QUICK MAKEOVER TIPS FOR KITCHENS AND BATHROOMS
|
|
If you're looking for some fast and inexpensive decorative improvements for your kitchen or bathroom, here are some great ideas. These ideas are based on getting the most visually rewarding benefit for the least amount of money:
- Floors - Use mats, throw rugs and runners that are soft on the eye and easy underfoot.
- Walls - Hang tapestry (it's the rage) , or consider classic wallpaper patterns and textures.
- Lighting - Supplement bright overhead lights with out-of-sight mood lights set on dimmers.
- Cabinets - Remove old handles, paint the doors and add new hardware for a whole new look.
- Fixtures - Look under the sink to see how easily faucets can be replaced for a quick major change.
- Appliances - Zip up older, traditional appliances with a hot enamel paint job.
- Counters - Replace outdated colors with one of the many newly available options.
Some other no-fail, tried and true makeover steps include painting your walls and ceilings, and accessorizing with color coordinated jars, vases, paintings, prints, towels, flowers, etc.
